About Karen Steed, RN, FNP, CFMP
Karen attended Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She graduated from this institution in 2005 and began her nursing career in home health. After working in the field for a while, Ms. Steed went on to earn a master’s degree in nursing from Graceland University in Independence, Missouri, in 2008. She quickly began working as a family nurse practitioner at a family practice. During this time, she developed autoimmune issues which prompted her to pursue training in Functional Medicine. For over two years, she traveled nationwide to learn from leading experts in the field.
Karen established her own independent practice in Sherman, TX, in 2015. After several years of training and evaluation, she earned certification in Functional Medicine from Functional Medicine University in 2018.
With more than two decades of experience in general practice, including eight years dedicated to Functional Medicine, Karen Steed offers a wealth of knowledge and insight to her patients.
