I received results from a functional medicine test. The results gave me insight to a chronic illness. Karen formulated a care plan and I agreed to the treatment plan. My next steps are to follow up with Karen in person February 2022 and as needed via the practitioner/patient portal. Karen is very knowledgeable, thorough, and she offered me multiple treatment options. I highly recommend Karen as your functional medicine nurse practitioner.

She changed my life. I am 32, and a mom of toddlers. I had complicated pregnancies, two colicky babies, 2 surgeries to correct pregnancy complications and then postpartum depression to top it all off. Two other doctors diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue and anxiety and told me to ‘take it easy’. Ms. Steed is WAY better than any doctor I have talked to in the last 3 years. She diagnosed the cause of my problems—food sensitivities and hormonal imbalance, and provided natural supplements to correct it. 7 weeks in to the lifestyle change, and I feel great!! I don’t have oppressive anxiety or chronic fatigue anymore. I still have another 7 weeks until I start adding foods back in, but I cannot say enough great things! She also works WITH insurance so it isn’t all out of pocket. We are on a strict budget and she is knowledge able AND affordable. If you think, “I can’t afford this…”, I think you will be surprised at how much is covered by insurance. Definitely give her a call if you have a diagnosis and aren’t getting anywhere with a traditional doctor!

I was so concerned when I moved to north Texas that I would not find a doctor to fit my needs. I needed a Functional Medicine doctor who understood complex thyroid issues and also would take my insurance. Very good. From the receptionist to the nurses and of course Karen, the entire staff was very welcoming, kind and helpful. It is just the beginnng but I am feeling hopeful. My daughter was battling with multiple symptoms that were getting worse. Karen and the team have been wonderful. Karen was able to identify the underlying cause and not just mask the symptoms with medication. Their aren’t enough good things to say about Karen Steed and her team at Innovative Healthcare. They were the first group of healthcare professionals that took my illness seriously and offered compassion along with results. After being ill for 7 months and seeing 13 other doctors or healthcare professionals, I had lost hope in finding answers and a treatment plan to get better. Over the course of just a few months and appointments with Karen I was able to finally see positive progress in my health. I have been able to get back to work and live on my own again. I would highly recommend Karen and her practice!
